Airline Criteria

Use the Airline Criteria screen to configure preferred, excluded, and display-only airlines. When you select the Airline Criteria navigation link after selecting an existing air policy on the Air Policies page, the Airline Criteria screen appears.

This screen lists any preferred, excluded, and display-only airlines configured for this policy. Use the Edit, Copy, and Delete buttons () for each entry to edit, copy, and delete them. Use the add ... property links above each section to create new preferred, excluded, and display-only airlines:

  • Preferred Airlines: Airlines to be marked in the search results as in-policy and preferred.
  • Exclusions: Airlines that are to be excluded from appearing in the search results.
  • Display-Only Airlines: Airlines that are to be the only airlines displayed in the search results.

Options to configure any airline as preferred, excluded, or display-only can be limited to specific flight numbers, locations, or dates. For example, to configure BA as a preferred airline, any of the following options could be set:

  • All flights on BA are preferred, without limitation.
  • Only BA flight numbers from 1100-1900 are preferred.
  • Only BA flights originating in a specific country are preferred.
  • Only BA flights arriving at a specific airport are preferred.
  • Only BA flights booked on or after Jan. 15, 2017 are preferred.

Note: For display-only airlines, if a shop request does not contain any search results for the configured display-only airline or airlines, then all airlines in the response are returned instead of no results at all.

Example: BA is configured as display-only from DEN to LHR. The expected result is that all airlines other than BA are excluded from results for a shop request between DEN and LHR. However, if no BA flights are returned in the response, then all airlines are displayed.
